Week 6 Final

Concept and main idea

The concept is based on the global well known issue - the global warming and weather change. All the human beings as well as living things are involved in this serious issue. People are fighting in the war at all time, including children and women. Babies were born in war, no one can escape from it.

The glowing components of the site represent a safety place for people to stay and be under the shelter due to the sudden weather change. The different components can allow the people to rest under different weather condition.

The trap can either help human beings to escape from the outside world but can also might trap themselves and cannot be escape.

The blue and the red shelter of the site represent the hot and cold condition which reflect that the weather is keep on changing.

The moving floor can be a stair for people to go up and down.

Week 5 - Draft

Week 4

The main idea of the installation is to reflect the weather nowadays, as global warming is taking place, the glowing parts of the building has reflected the sudden cold and hot weather in blue and red. The moving entities allows people to be either indoor or outdoor which to suit their need of being with the current weather. The trap structure on the ground remind people that it is not necessary to enter easily and we have to sacrifice in order to enter this safety place.

A model from the concept of Pure War

The reason as I have created this model to represent the Paul Virilio's concept of pure war is because Virilio's idea refers to everyone is in war which the model has a strong sense of disconnection between each structure. People are in war do not have a sense of connection toward the others.

The graph has shown monthly and I found it interesting because as the world is currently facing the situation of global warming, the temperature can be varies within a period of day. The graphs can shown the above statement.
